Port Quin to Polzeath return (above) 18/8/12 - 10 miles

A really nice stretch of coastline, teeming with tourists as you approach Polzeath, but visually stunning - well worth a visit.

Pendower - Portloe return (above) 25/8/12 - 9 miles

The clouds give you a clue as to the weather today - did we have a summer btw?!  As I neared Portloe, the heavens opened and I ducked into the Ship Inn for a coffee to warm up and dry off.  Unfortunately the welcome from the staff was less than friendly and I got accused of eating my sandwiches (it was a scotch egg actually) but I would avoid this place if you're looking for a warm welcome.

Portholland - Nare Head via Portloe return (above) 28/8/12 - 7 miles

The weather for my return a few days later was much more pleasant and I also chanced across a lovely couple from Esher called Sally and Anthony, staying in Portloe (hope it wasn't the Ship Inn!).  I told them my story and wandered back.  A couple of days later they donated £50 - yes £50 to my trek fund.  Can you believe the generosity of total strangers. Thank you both - amazing!

Pentewan - Porthpean return (above) 1/9/12 - 7 miles

This really is a stretching piece of the coastal path so to all the 'North Coast' snobs I say try this one!  The weather was gorgeous and I found time to swim out to my yacht anchored off the bay (see above) before returning to Pentewan (above), site of my Alan Jones event at the Seahorse Club on Friday 7th September - tickets available from all good venues - sorry! Anyway if you haven't heard about it yet, here are the details !
