Gold medal winner Fran Taylor!!
Charlestown - Pentewan return - 9 miles - 4 hours
I turned out today at short notice once I heard Lisa's good friend Fran was doing a triathlon to raise money for my trek in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care in memory of Lisa (and her Grandad). She kept it a secret which was even nicer and competed feeling poorly. A word also for her husband Simon who kept her company round the gruelling circuit. My god that looked hard and she has raised £300 - fantastic. Spurred on afterwards I traipsed to Pentewan and back and am slightly ashamed to say I found it hard going! A nice light-hearted moment at the end saw Simon and friends kick-ass on the raft race - truly British. A lovely day out and a nice reminder for me what nice friends Lisa had and how much esteem they held her in. x
